We spruced up the web-design just a tad, mostly changes that you shouldn’t notice much. There are some ads for t-shirts to the left now and there is a big old Twitter button on the right.

We also put together a quick one-panel comic for our friends at White Ninja Comics for their 1000th comic, if you are so inclined to check that out.

In other news, in a couple of weeks we are in San Francisco (April 2-4) exhibiting at WonderCon and debuting the Tigerbuttah Golden Book. The day prior to WonderCon (April 1), we are going to be doing a talk at the Academy of Art University. More specific details will be forthcoming.

Becky also put an unlettered (and slightly larger) version of today’s comic if you want to see the full painting without them pesky words. That is available at her Deviantart.

The Popup folks hosted us over the weekend in Wellington, with the launch party for the show taking place last Friday. We had the best time and we are super thankful to Tony and Amber for putting it on for us, as well as all the amazing people who came and supported us!

This week has certainly been one of those busy weeks! Search below for a bonus guest comic by us!

But first, I’d like to make you all aware all that we have two brand new t-shirts, one comic related and one that is just plain pretty. The second part is that we are now a member of TopatoCo!! It is so awesome to have our merchandise alongside a lot of our favorite comics.

There is also the small matter of our upcoming gallery show in Wellington New Zealand! It begins this Friday March 5th at Popup Gallery. The opening party is at 6pm and we will be there, so come hang out with us!! We were also fortunate enough to be invited by the gentlemanly John Campbell to contribute a guest comic to his magnum opus Pictures For Sad Children. We were delighted! I hope you all enjoy it and enjoy John’s wonderful comic.

Our Ruby Red Tomato story is also in Image Comics’ latest anthology Popgun Vol. 4. We are always glad to be in books with the likes of Jeffrey Brown, Lars Brown, Ben Templesmith, Meg Hunt, Maximo Lorenzo, Mark Andrew Smith and Jeremy Tinder, amongst countless talented others! It’s out now at all good comic and book stores.

In comic news: We have about 10 pages to go until we wrap up Chapter 2, we’re hoping to get that finished before we head off to San Francisco at the end of March. While we’re away over April we will continue to update, so don’t worry too much. Chapter 3 will begin in May.

Also we have made a return to the world of making mixtapes!

Becky recently submitted a piece to Gallery Nucleus for their Studio Ghibli inspired show if you want to check that out! I think it is incredibly pretty and I predict you will also.

If this comic seems a bit out of place, I encourage you to get reacquainted with Chapter 2.

First up, Becky has a new, small and cheap painting for sale here, with the proceeds benefiting the World Wildlife Fund.

Secondly, thanks for your patience and continued patronage during our silent period. The time off from regular updates allowed us to complete the Tigerbuttah Golden Book in record time.

It also allowed us the time to put on the Tigerbuttah gallery show in Auckland, New Zealand. The exhibition, which is still on for the next few days at The High Seas, displays all the pages of the Golden Book in sequence, without words. The show then tours to Wellington on March 5th at Popup Gallery, which we will be attending!

To say we were over-joyed at the turnout was a huge understatement!

The beautiful cupcakes are courtesy of our best friend Tamzen and her fabulous assistant Claire!

If you look at the cupcakes closely, you will see a number of comic references, such as our general love of beautiful toadstools, sunflowers and butterflies. The flower covered with a band-aid cupcakes are specifically in reference to this old comic of ours!

Now, I am not one to generally eat band-aids, but if they are made of icing atop delicious red velvet cupcakes…

Apologies for the recent bouts of silence, we had to finish the Tigerbuttah book! We are incredibly happy to announce that the book is complete, it is at the printers and provided all goes well we should have the books in time to launch at WonderCon in San Francisco!

The gallery show where we exhibited the Tigerbuttah book went incredibly well, with a huge turn-out and a wonderful performance by our good friends Bear Cat. We have some photos that we are collating and they will be posted here very shortly with a full round-up.

We’ve been clearing a lot of our non-Tiny Kitten Teeth related workload this week and it looks like we will be ready to return to Chapter 2 on Monday (Pacific Standard Time).

Becky also painted a guest pin-up for fellow webcomicker Scott Christian Sava over at The Dreamland Chronicles. She was trying out an Art Nouveau thing that we’d like to do a comic in at a later date. I think it looks rather nice!

We took the weekend off from working on the book to go camping outside a town called Bulls for Campus A Low Hum. Camp A Low Hum is an annual independent music festival here in New Zealand where the line-up is kept mostly secret and it is amazing. It took place at an abandoned agricultural school called The Flock House, which my family apparently owned in 1856, so it was a fun and historic occasion. Becky did some amazing design work for Campus, designing a crest, posters and all sorts of other things.

Blink, the festival co-ordinator, has been wonderfully supportive of us over the past couple years, so the whole affair was nothing but love.

If you are ever in New Zealand around January, Camp A Low Hum is the thing to do.

Storyline updates are scheduled to resume sometime in the second week of February! We’ll post another Tigerbuttah preview page next week!
