We are off to Phoenix Comic Con. Thursday May 26th through Sunday the 29th we will be at Small Press Table 729!

We’ll also have a new Tigerbuttah next week, with regular storyline updates resuming very shortly through the summer!

Whew! We’ve been working on this show for months and it is finally here! We hope all our Southern Californian friends can join us for an evening with Becky Dreistadt & Lorelay Bove at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles!

The show kicks off at 7pm this Saturday on May 14th and is stocked with entirely new material (like the painting we just posted today). It follows a little travel story with a few recurring characters designed both by Lorelay and Becky.

For those who don’t know much about Lorelay, she put together that gorgeous super flat 2D sequence in Disney’s The Princess & The Frog, amongst other amazing achievements over at the house of mouse! We’re incredibly glad to be able to collaborate with her on this awesome project!

This weekend we will be at WizardWorld’s Anaheim Comic Con starting on Friday evening and throughout the weekend! We will be at Booth 1308 in the Artist’s Alley/Creator area!

The following week we will be at the opening for the Autumn Society’s Three B Show at Gallery 1988 Venice on May 5th! Check out the Autumn Society site for Becky’s take on characters from Bill & Ted, Back to the Future and Beetlejuice!

Two days later, we will then be at TCAF in Toronto in the webcomics area as part of TopatoCo!

We will also have a new story page up this week, finally! The fun never stops at Tiny Kitten Teeth HQ!

We are super excited to announce that Becky is having a duo gallery show with Disney feature film artist Lorelay Bove. The show is at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, opening at 7pm on May 14th. We will be in attendance with Tigerbuttah books and prints to sign, as well as numerous brand new paintings on display. We are incredibly excited about this show!! This painting (and one other) is for sale on our store right now!

First up, we are going to be in San Francisco for WonderCon this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (April 1-3)! Please visit us at SP-34 in Small Press. The following week (April 9 & 10) we will also be at MoCCA in New York City! Our booth for that show is K-7! We will also be at the opening of the Tarantino vs Coen Bros gallery show in New York, which Becky is participating in! That is Thursday April 7 at Bold Hype Gallery.

Apologies for the radio silence, after moving to Los Angeles, we set off rather quickly for Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, followed a week later by C2E2 in Chicago. After C2E2, we drove our delightful 1990 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible (which has no speedometer or gas meter) half-way across the country through the desert and a snow storm back to Los Angeles, where I contracted a nasty little flu.

Since we arrived back, we’re moving into our new apartment, so we’ve been building IKEA furniture and attempting (unsuccessfully) to get Internet installed. Now that we are finally on our feet… we are off on a 12 day tour, visiting San Francisco and New York, with a gallery opening wedged in-between.

Upon our return we will get back on our feet. We really miss updating the comic and we look forward to showing you what we have in store next!

This is one of the many reasons I haven’t been updating lately! I’ve been working on a video-game character mural for Gameplanet in New Zealand. You can now view all the mural pieces and photographs over at their site.

I’ve also been in Melbourne, Australia for my Animals! Animals! Animals! group show with Rebecca Clements, Melanie Matthews and Erin Hunting. The opening was awesome and we want to thank you all for coming out to support us. Here are a few photos from the show!

We’ll be getting to Los Angeles in a few days and we’ll hopefully get some time to post some comics!

We are in the process of moving right now, so you are seeing a painting from Becky’s upcoming gallery show in Melbourne, Australia! The opening is at 6pm on Saturday the 19th of February at the Owl & Pussycat Gallery in Richmond. We will be signing books, selling prints and have a number of brand new paintings with us for sale

This is also a group gallery show and the group has just gained another member: The awesome Rebecca Clements (Kinokofry)!

To tide you over while we take a sad break from storyline updates, here is a picture of a new character who will be showing up in the story sometime in the next month.

Becky has almost completed the 46 paintings that make up the giant video game mural she has been doing for Gameplanet. We’ve been posting multiple paintings a week from this project, and will continue to do so for quite awhile (we’ve only posted a third of the completed ones so far). In fact, we posted two just moments before we posted this!

Becky also painted a guest pin-up for fellow webcomicker Scott Christian Sava over at The Dreamland Chronicles. She was trying out an Art Nouveau thing that we’d like to do a comic in at a later date. I think it looks rather nice!

We took the weekend off from working on the book to go camping outside a town called Bulls for Campus A Low Hum. Camp A Low Hum is an annual independent music festival here in New Zealand where the line-up is kept mostly secret and it is amazing. It took place at an abandoned agricultural school called The Flock House, which my family apparently owned in 1856, so it was a fun and historic occasion. Becky did some amazing design work for Campus, designing a crest, posters and all sorts of other things.

Blink, the festival co-ordinator, has been wonderfully supportive of us over the past couple years, so the whole affair was nothing but love.

If you are ever in New Zealand around January, Camp A Low Hum is the thing to do.
