Becky recently introduced me to an awful band, responsible for a song called C’mon Ride That Train, as well as the theme to Space Jam. I thought it was C’Mon Ride The Bus, so I guess the whole strip title thing has fallen apart.
There is a great song called Waiting For The Bus by the Violent Femmes. They have some rad storytelling in their songs. Also there is a great rapper called Busdriver. As you have no doubt realised at this point, buses are a very common experience and thus it is a great piece of fodder for songs as well as comics. I have a story about the bus.
Becky and I were sitting in a bus stop, which are made out of glass in New Zealand because our government is clever. While we were doing this, some hoodlums were lurking in the bushes behind the bus stop. They thought it would be awesome and intimidating if they smashed the glass while we were sitting in there. And they did. Now I catch taxis, much to the chagrin of our collective wallet.
